About Us

Wendy Jaeger, owner of Bliss Travels has traveled extensively throughout France for more than 25 years. She conceived Bliss Travels as a way to share her knowledge and allow people to experience unique culinary and cultural adventures, as well as to train and educate those interested in the very rich Provencal history, culture and cuisine.

During the past decade Wendy has spent significant time in France learning the history, culture and cuisine. As such, she has relationships with chefs, restauranteurs, and artisan producers. This has inspired her to develop a full collection of her own recipes. She is currently collaborating on a photographic study of Provencal culture and cuisine in which her recipes will be featured.

Bliss Travels works with a wonderful group of talented individuals both in France, and in the United States to provide the highest quality travel or educational experience possible. Each voyage includes both French and American staff. We provide English speaking guides (minimum, one full time English speaking guide for each 6 guests), private transportation, full service Inn, and instruction and tours by locals who specialize in that field. Translation is provided wherever necessary. Private chefs are available upon request. (We have a guest to staff ratio of no more than 4:1).

In addition, Wendy teaches cooking privately to adults and children on a limited basis; she also teaches in various educational and commercial venues. She has taught French cuisine, Mediterranean cuisine, food and wine pairings and seasonal fare at Whole Foods, Kings Markets, The Alliance Francaise of Princeton (of which she is a founding board member) as well as at Mercer County Community College and secondary schools in the area.

Wendy also teaches in the Writing Program at Rutgers University.
